Thanh Vu (Vũ Phương Thanh) is a graduate of the Schulich School of Business in Canada. Previously worked at Bloomberg (Singapore), she left the world of financial analytics and made history in the world of endurance running as the first female from Asia to complete the 4 Deserts Grand Slam, 1,000 km across the world's toughest deserts (Namibia, Gobi, Atacama, and Antarctica) in 2016.
She continues to set her goal to become the first Vietnamese female to conquer the world's toughest endurance challenges. In 2017, she was the first Asian woman to finish The Track, a 522 km stage race in Australia. By the end of 2018, she has completed the most challenging footraces on all 7 continents. Trying a new horizon, in 2022 she became Deca Ultra Triathlon World Champion — 38 km swim, 1,800 km bike, 422 km run — and in 2024 finished the Everest Marathon and one of the longest triathlons ever held. That same year she took on a different kind of cold: the Montane Lapland Arctic Ultra, 500 km inside the Arctic Circle on foot, hauling a 40 kg sled behind her. Tatler Asia calls her "Vietnam's most resilient woman."
Off the course, Thanh brings the same tremendous range to the stage. She holds a corporate role at a leading Vietnamese beverage company, hosts podcasts, represents brands, and is a sought-after MC and race announcer. She offers a rare blend — boardroom fluency, world-class grit and the ease of a professional host — delivered fluently in English and Vietnamese.
